Peer to Peer Fundraising

Peer to Peer fundraising, also known as P2P, is a social network based online fundraising strategy in which individuals fundraise on behalf of the nonprofit. One of the biggest benefits of P2P the positive impact it can have on your library. With proper planning and strategy, it can boost the library’s awareness, reach deeper community networks, acquire new donors, increase donor and volunteer engagement and most importantly – raise more money for your library. To do it – you will need to invest in a donor software product that can facilitate a peer-to-peer campaign.

#LIBRARYGIVINGDAY

Libraries throughout the US and Canada have taken P2P fundraising into library world with #LIBRARYGIVINGDAY and created a movement! It began in 2019 with the Seattle Public Library Foundation and their fundraising partner Carl Bloom and Associates. It capitalized on the highly successful model #GivingTuesday – which is the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. #LIBRARYGIVINGDAY is designed to give individual libraries an opportunity to stand out from the crowd. #LIBRARYGIVINGDAY 2025 is April 1, 2025. Are you ready to raise some $$ for your library? Early planning is strongly encouraged.
